The European Union’s soil strategy for 2030 has set the objective of achieving ‘healthy soils’ in Europe by 2050. Les sols sont au cœur des défis liés au changement climatique et à la durabilité de l’alimentation des humains. L’agriculture doit s’adapter au changement climatique, mais elle est aussi un levier pour le combattre, en favorisant des pratiques de réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre et de séquestration de carbone organique. Cela suppose d’identifier dès à présent les compétences en science du sol qui seront nécessaires aux futurs acteurs de cette transition fondamentale et d’adapter les formations.
